Matrix Element X2 pure
Network Player WiFi AirPlay 2 DLNA 2x ES9039Pro 32bit 768kHz DSD512 MQA

The Matrix Element X2 Pure builds on the excellent architecture of the X2, shedding its headphone amplifier stage to enhance its digital/analog conversion section with the latest and greatest chips from ESS.
This model is part of the brand’s range of network players, functioning as a complete stand-alone source device for your audio system and bringing your traditional HiFi system into the world of high-resolution streaming.

An elegant, intuitive graphic interface
The Element X2 Pure features a 3.46″ LCD touchscreen.
When playing from the network or locally with the MA player, a wealth of track information is displayed.
What’s more, touch control makes navigating the device’s various menus easy and intuitive.
Many possible sources
With the Element X2 Pure, you can enjoy your music in many different ways.
Whether your files are stored on a device in your local network (computer, NAS…), on a USB storage device or on your smartphone, they are accessible from the Element X2 Pure.
The streamer also supports DLNA and AirPlay2 transmission protocols, as well as Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, enabling you to send your music to the X2 Pure directly from a smartphone, for example.
Numerous music streaming services, such as Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz, can also be accessed from the network player, as well as a wide range of web radios thanks to vTuner.

MA Remote application
Thanks to the free MA Remote mobile app, you can browse your local music files, access your favorite streaming services and webradios, and control playback remotely, directly from your smartphone.
Element X2 firmware updates can also be managed via the application.

An efficient preamplifier stage
The Element X2 Pure features an excellent preamplifier with +10dB analog gain.
When the preamplifier is activated, it can provide audio output signals of up to 15.8Vrms.
Hyper-Control technology keeps noise and distortion extremely low.
Digital and analog inputs
The Element X2 Pure features numerous digital inputs, as well as a stereo RCA analog input.
This makes it possible to connect the vast majority of HiFi devices to the streamer.
In addition, a three-level gain control allows the X2 Pure to adapt to the source’s output level.

HDMI ARC
An HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port has been added to the Element X2 Pure.
When connected to an ARC-capable monitor or projector, the digital audio signal can be transferred to the Element X2 Pure.
What’s more, if your device also supports HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), playback on the Element X2 Pure can be controlled directly by your display’s remote control.
Femtosecond clock
In digital audio, timing is everything.
A high-precision clock is therefore the basis for accurate reproduction. Here, the Element X2 Pure uses a Crystek CCHD-950 ultra-low phase noise femtosecond oscillator.
This effectively and significantly reduces jitter for a more realistic and detailed sound.

Asynchronous or synchronous
The Element X2 Pure can operate in either synchronous or asynchronous mode, depending on your choice.
In asynchronous mode, the DAC chip’s master clock comes from the Crystek CCHD-950 integrated clock, so the clock signal from the source device is not used.
In synchronous mode, on the other hand, the Crystek CCHD-950 oscillator is deactivated and the clock signal is recovered from the source device.
