SYNERGISTIC RESEARCH – Purple fuse 5×20 – THE Ultimate Audiophile fuse
More information:
A large majority of people mistakenly believe that a fuse, or any other form of instantaneous cut-out protection, installed in an electrical appliance is designed to protect the appliance and immunize it against any form of electrical surge.
It’s almost nothing of the sort!
A fuse, which is sometimes required by law, protects the user against a possible fire in a given electrical system.
A fuse prevents a short circuit from turning into a house fire, the source of which is statistically electrical in 80% of cases.
Any after-sales service professional will tell you that the appliances being repaired for electrical problems have blown their fuses. The fact remains that they have suffered irreversible damage and must be repaired. No fuse can anticipate a power surge fast enough (close to the speed of light) to protect the circuits that follow it.
A fuse doesn’t protect the device, or only partially. It protects YOU!
Therefore :
Installing a fuse of a reasonably higher value is of no consequence. A short circuit on 220V will melt a 0.5A fuse just as quickly as a 3A fuse. If it’s too large, the delta between the recommended value and the installed one can significantly increase the extent of circuit damage, but it’s almost negligible.
However, this is a good reason, and above all a reassuring precaution, to respect a value increase of +50%, which corresponds to 1, 2 or even 3 higher values in the nomenclature.
Fusible Synergistic Research:
For the above reasons, a standard fuse has a 20-30% greater margin of tolerance before breaking.
A Synergistic Research fuse is precisely calibrated with no margin of tolerance.
To give it the flexibility of the original fuse, it must be oversized by one or two values.
This will provide the resistance of the original fuse when the device is switched on. Otherwise, the SR fuse may break prematurely. Given its price, this is not something you want.
The second positive effect will be to increase the current transfer during operation of the device and enhance its musical performance.
For those who aren’t reassured, it’s best to keep the bits of unshielded, uninsulated wire found in a standard fuse, and accept the resulting loss of performance. Investing in a power cable costing several hundred Euros, only to end up passing through a simple metal wire, is a tad regrettable.
The new Purple fuse outperforms the Orange fuse thanks to a technology originally developed for the ultra-modern SRX series cables.
It wasn’t until Synergistic Research developed two new technologies, namely a three-stage, long-lasting high-voltage conditioning process and a brand-new UEF compound containing graphene,
that they were able to significantly beat the Orange fuse. Together, these new technologies create a wider soundstage with improved image focus and higher resolution thanks to a reduction in the noise level.
of background noise. Of all the generations of fuses and all the improvements they have brought over the last decade, the new Purple fuses are by far the best, and represent the biggest leap forward in
performance compared to previous generations. All aspects of subjective sound quality are improved, including natural sound, where instruments and voices sound intrinsically right, and dynamics,
low-level detail, high-frequency extension and smoothness all leap forward.
Note: if you’re changing from an orange fuse to a Purple fuse, start by inserting the Purple fuse in the same direction as the orange fuse you wish to replace. If the Purple fuse is not an immediate improvement, insert the Rurple fuse in the other direction.
Why change a fuse in my appliance?
For over a hundred years, we’ve believed that electrons “flow” like water through a pipe, and that once they’ve been “contaminated” by miles of electric cable, there’s little we can do to clean up the flow.
One thing to bear in mind: your appliances are electrically powered, and the current flows first through a fuse.
That’s why adding an Audiophile fuse is such an effective way of improving the reproduction of your device.
Today, physicists have understood that electrons don’t flow, but propagate as waves of energy that travel along a conductor, and that a multitude of factors alter these waves at the quantum level.
To understand how electricity travels without a single electron leaving its atom, we can imagine a wave of supporters, an “Ola!” in the stands during a soccer match.
A wave is visible, made up of single spectators, raising then lowering their hands. Each spectator has his or her own hands, and they do not move from spectator to spectator.
It’s the same with electricity: electrons transmit, but don’t move.
At Synergistic Research, we have isolated the key factors affecting the propagation of electricity by modifying the behavior of electrons using Inductive Quantum Coupling, which we call UEF Technology.
In fact, UEF technology is so powerful that even an electrical chain several kilometers long can be fundamentally improved by a simple fuse using our UEF technology.
We’re so confident of the benefits of Purple Synergistic Research fuses that we’re offering a 30-day money-back guarantee! This allows you to test the fuse on your system, and see for yourself what it can do. If you’re not satisfied, contact us again and we’ll take your fuse back! (The fuse must be in perfect working order and cosmetically sound. Packaging and manuals/accessories must be retained).

Frequently asked questions
Q: Which way should I insert my fuse into the device?A: SR fuses are directional. The current must follow the direction of the text written on the fuse (i.e. from left to right). If you don’t know the direction of your device’s current, you should listen to it by changing the direction of your fuse. In the correct direction, the soundstage will be more open and the details more abundant.
Q: Do I have to break in my fuse? A: Yes, fuses need to break-in and settle into place in your system. For BLACK fuses, approximately 350 hours of operation are required. For BLUE and ORANGE fuses, around 200 hours should suffice.
Tip:
In order to place your fuse directly in its correct operating direction, you’ll need a continuity tester.
Place one end of the tester on the earth pin of your IEC socket, and the other on the sides of the fuse holder. The side with continuity will be your entry point, where the “start” of the fuse should be placed.
