Although the element i2 is the entry-level model in the element range of music streamers, it shares a wide range of technologies with the other models in the series, further reducing the differences in specification between it and the higher-end models. Rich usage scenarios, comprehensive music playback features and flexible input and output interfaces make the element i2 an excellent companion for your entertainment and gaming.
Keep it simple and fun
The element i2 music streamer is a multifunctional audio source that can play local music files or online audio streams. It features several input ports, including toslink, coaxial, IIS-LVDS and USB. As a stand-alone music source, the element i2 drives various headphones directly, or can be connected to power amplifiers or active speakers for high-resolution music listening. Roon Ready, UPnP and AirPlay are also supported. Excellent human-machine interaction, with the MA Remote App from「Matrix Audio」, you can easily configure your devices, browse and play music files. Enjoy your music, the i2 element will satisfy your ears.
Richer than rich
If you have a large treasure trove of digital audio, the MA player lets you easily browse and play music on USB drives or NAS. If you prefer high-resolution online streaming, TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify and Internet radio will make up your extensive music library. Roon Ready, DLNA/UPnP and AirPlay 2 offer a variety of music streaming experiences.

MA Remote application
The MA Remote app is developed by 「Matrix Audio」 and is available for iPhone, iPad or Android phones. With these devices, you can browse and play high-resolution online audio files from TIDAL, Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO, listen to Internet radio stations. Device configurations and firmware updates can also be managed via the app.
High power, high detail
We’ve added a balanced 4.4 mm headphone jack to the element i2, allowing it to be combined with a variety of headphones. The integrated headphone amplifier has been upgraded to a balanced 4-channel architecture. The fully symmetrical circuit allows signals from the left and right channels to pass through an almost perfectly symmetrical amplifier circuit. Headphone output power is high, with low distortion and noise.

We take every product detail seriously, even the remote control is no exception. The new RM4 remote control has added playback control functions, making it more convenient to change tracks, play, pause and other operations. With 2 programmable buttons that can be set to your most frequently used functions via the MA Remote App. Aluminum and plastic materials make the remote control pleasant to the touch.
Enter from a higher point
Although it’s the entry-level model in the series, the element i2 is equipped with the same quad-core processor and digital audio interface chip as the higher-end models. Powerful processing capabilities enable the element i2 to effortlessly handle different audio file sampling rates. The element i2 is a full MQA decoder, giving it complete playback capability.
Precise timing without deviation
Digital audio is the art of time, and a high-precision clock is the basis for accurate playback of digital audio. We’ve added Crystek’s CCHD-950 ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clock to the element i2, which can effectively reduce the jitter generated during the transmission and processing of digital audio signals, making sound more realistic and detail more accurate. A solid foundation for the good sound of the element i2.
Follow your path
The element i2 is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port to ensure a more stable connection when playing high-sample-rate audio files. The flow of music data through your audio system is seamless.
Without cables
When wireless network signal coverage is good, you can opt for a Wi-Fi connection. The integrated dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi antenna gives the i2 a clean, tidy appearance and a flexible connection option.
