Silent Angel uses a no-compromise approach to electronic circuit design and execution. Isolation, filtering and noise reduction preserve the integrity of the source and deliver a pure signal to the connected components. As with all Silent Angel products, our aim is to ensure that the device operates at a stable system voltage, sends packets at the precise moment, and reduces extraneous output noise. We’ve found that even the smallest enhancement can slightly improve sound quality, and that implementing many small improvements can unlock the ultimate potential of high-resolution streaming networks. Bonn NX is the culmination of everything we’ve learned about designing audio-quality network switches: it offers the best sound performance currently available.
Unique, advanced designs

Advanced options for serious audiophiles
- The 12 V DC power socket bypasses the internal switch-mode power supply module, enabling connection to an external linear power supply (Forester) for a significant performance boost.
- Gold-plated ground terminal further reduces noise. LED switch allows users to disable the port status indicator. The class-leading clock receiver module enables external clock input.
Clock and power supply circuit
1- TCXO clock (25MHz): Eliminates spurious frequencies and generates a pure, accurate clock signal. Outputs a high-precision, low-phase noise signal as a clock source for our Ethernet switching system.
2- TCXO clock power supply circuit: Uses multi-stage power filter technology, eliminating crosstalk and noise at different frequencies 10MHz, 100MHz and 1GHz, and providing purified power to the TCXO module.
3- Power source circuit for switching system: Very low-noise voltage regulator circuit capable of handling a wide dynamic power range. It features a highly efficient circuit design and fast response time. Powered by the TPS56623x series, which maintains lower output ripple under ALL load conditions.
4- AC power filter circuit: A high-isolation common-mode shutdown circuit for the AC power input prevents noise pollution from AC power sources such as other mains-connected devices or
power systems.
5- Exclusive, customized Silent Angel power module: AC/DC power module with wide dynamic range. Stable, low-noise, secure protection circuitry, well covered by an old-fashioned heatsink.
6- Connects to optional linear power supply. DC socket for external 12V DC linear power supply.
7- External clock input port (gold-plated, 25MHz).
8- Internal/external clock selector.
Vibration-damping isolators
Made from solid, high-purity stainless steel, Silent Angel resonance control feet dampen mechanical energy from internal and external sources, reducing mechanical and electrical noise, static electricity and more. The result is improved dynamics and better detail resolution.
