Description

A worthy successor to the iPhono2, a veritable bombshell in the world of phono pre-amplifiers, the iPhono 3 pushes back the limits of its predecessor, and comes to play on the terraces of pre-phonos costing up to 3000€ .

The iPhono3 incorporates the very best Audiophile components, at the service of your turntable. Computer-matched OP Amps, high-gain output transistors, Nichicon capacitors and more. It leaves nothing to chance, and offers your hifi system the chance to sing like never before.

A silence hard to match

The iPhono3 Black Label offers extremely low background noise, measured at 85dB. It’s one of the quietest phono pre-amplifiers on the market, all price ranges included.

Like all good pre-phono amplifiers, the iPhono3 Black Label amplifies the signal, not the noise.

The iPhono3 Black Label includes the ability to adjust its EQ curves. Where the $12,000 AMR PH-77 (from which the iPhono3 BL is derived) offers 23 EQ curves, the iPhono3 BL lets you choose between the 6 most popular curves.

Just put the iPhono3 Black Label through its paces, and with Tchaikovksi 1812 Overture, you’ll immediately understand the potential of this little device.

Universal!

You’ve invested in a beautiful cell, and want to take full advantage of it? The iPhono3 Black Label is both MM and MC, and will allow you to set your load and gain to perfection. You’ll be able to make your own cell settings, according to your desires and the manufacturer’s specifications.

Technical specifications to give you the shivers…

Beneath its calm, wise exterior lies a ferocious beast, featuring technologies specially developed by AMR for iFi Audio.

Direct Drive Servoless: No coupling capacitors in the circuit, despite Class A operation. The gain is thus marked in DC.

TubeState Engine: Thanks to a clever mix of hand-picked transistors (including an OP Burr Brown SoundPlus amp and high-gain bipolar transistors), the iPhono 3 Black Label offers tube musicality… without any tubes.

The specific structure and extremely high-end components make it possible to offer a pre-phono with a background noise worthy of a whisper, and a measured THD of <0.005% (whereas the average of even much more high-end pre-phonos flirts with around 0.1%).
