Results of a new sound quality assessment method

The development of the A series began with an analysis of the relationship between sound quality and physical characteristics, which led to the establishment of a new evaluation method, culminating in the flagship A8000 earphones.

We listen to recorded music at various levels of quality and volume. However, traditional evaluation methods often involve subjective assessments made under fixed conditions, such as sound pressure, making it difficult to appreciate good sound based on actual listening experiences of the product.

With the A6000, FINAL has adopted a new evaluation method that aligns with real music listening situations to improve sound production.

Equipped with an in-house-developed “f-Core DU” drive unit

FINAL has developed the all-new 6 mm φ “f-Core DU” (ef-core DU) dynamic loudspeaker by designing all the loudspeaker components in-house, including the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit and adhesives, as well as the production equipment.

The front housing is made of brass, which is less sensitive to magnetic influences and has a higher density than conventional aluminum.

To improve the diaphragm’s temporal response, they use an ultra-thin 30μ CCAW voice coil, minimizing the use of adhesives during assembly to dramatically reduce the weight of moving parts.

What’s more, by carefully pressing the diaphragm in small batches, about a third of the usual size, FINAL minimizes pressure deviations and achieves uniform, distortion-free diaphragm formation.

Special housing with newly developed “stainless steel mounting frame

The flagship model, the A8000, has been directly attached to a stainless steel housing to maximize speaker performance.

In the A6000, FINAL has developed a new stainless steel mounting frame for the f-Core DU.

This lightweight resin enclosure provides a comfortable fit while enhancing enclosure rigidity thanks to the internal metal frame, offering solid support for the loudspeaker.

The result is sound quality of exceptionally fine granularity, allowing clear definition of each individual note.

A “hard-grain treatment” that balances texture and functionality

The surface of the resin enclosure features an exclusive “hard grain treatment”. The term “grain” refers to “particles” and, thanks to this special treatment, FINAL creates fine shadows on the surface of the enclosure, improving rigidity while preventing scratches and fingerprints.

New flexible 2-pin single-crystal copper cable

FINAL has developed a flexible 2PIN cable in monocrystalline copper, offering excellent conductivity. The result is a sound that combines high resolution and soft texture.

Ear tips for optimum fit

To maximize the sound quality of this product, it includes ear tips specially designed for TWS use, known as “TYPE E”, which feature a wider opening.

They use two types of silicone material with different levels of hardness: the sound guide part uses a firmer silicone compared to the area that touches the ear, incorporating grooves to achieve a balance between strength and flexibility.

The set includes five sizes – S, S, M, L and LL – allowing you to choose according to your preferences.
