The Earmen Angel portable DAC and headphone amplifier is a top-quality model supporting PCM streams up to 32 bit / 768 kHz, as well as DSD256 and MQA files.
Extremely versatile, the Earmen Angel DAC integrates a high-power headphone amplifier with balanced and unbalanced outputs to efficiently power the vast majority of headphones and earphones on the market.
Thanks to its rechargeable battery, it can be used as a portable DAC and headphone amplifier with a smartphone, or as a USB DAC with a Windows or Mac computer.
Earmen Angel: 32-bit / 768 kHz, DSD and MQA
The Earmen Angel portable DAC uses high-quality components to fully exploit all Hi-Res music.
It is built around an ES9038Q2M DAC, a latest-generation model selected by the manufacturer for its excellent signal-to-noise ratio, high dynamic range and consistency.
This DAC is coupled to an XMOS controller in charge of receiving and processing digital streams to ensure correct data addressing and limit jitter.
The computing power of this configuration ensures support for the vast majority of audio streams up to 32-bit / 768 kHz resolution for PCM streams.
DSD files are also supported up to DSD256. Finally, MQA streams are also supported, allowing you to enjoy Tidal in Hi-Res.
Earmen Angel: USB and SPDIF input
The Earmen Angel DAC and portable headphone amplifier boasts full connectivity, including a USB-C input for use with a smartphone, tablet or computer.
In addition to its USB input, the Earmen Angel DAC can also be used with any other digital source, thanks to a 3.5 mm jack that acts as both an optical toslink and coaxial socket (via a supplied adapter).
This means you can connect a CD player, TV set or network player, for example. On the output side, the Earmen Angel DAC offers not only 6.35 mm jack and 4.4 mm jack headphone outputs, but also 6.35 mm jack and 4.4 mm jack outputs at line or variable level for easy integration into a hi-fi system.
Earmen Angel: strong power
The Earmen Angel portable audio DAC boasts a high-quality amplification section, enabling it to efficiently power the vast majority of headphones and earphones on the market.
It adopts a fully symmetrical architecture, with no additional capacitors or components in the signal path to maximize reproduction transparency and preserve the finest details.
This enables the Earmen Angel headphone amplifier to deliver a very high dynamic range of 120 dB, guaranteeing energetic and always well-balanced reproduction. Thanks to this design, the Earmen Angel is able to deliver up to 8500 mW of power.
Its unbalanced 6.35 mm jack and balanced 4.4 mm outputs ensure perfect adaptation to any pair of headphones.
What’s more, the Earmen Angel headphone amplifier features a gain control to ideally match output power to the characteristics of the associated headphones.
Earmen Angel: built-in battery
The Earmen Angel portable DAC and headphone amplifier incorporates a dual battery with a total capacity of 6000 mAh. This means it can operate completely autonomously, without impacting the battery of the associated mobile device.
Naturally, the Earmen Angel headphone amp’s battery is combined with a high-quality power supply circuit to provide a clean, stable current at all times.
Separate USB DATA charging and power ports enable the Earmen Angel DAC to operate continuously while charging, so you can enjoy your music all day long.
