Description

The all-in-one Audiophile Hi-Res system – DAC, Streamer, speakers – that adapts itself to the acoustics of your room.
Created by Music Lovers, for Music Lovers.

Entirely designed by Julien Haziza, a French designer who has collaborated with Philippe Starck, the Aurora draws its inspiration from Japanese industrial architecture.
Decked out in bamboo and sitting on aluminum architecture, the Aurora leaves no one indifferent.

Aurora draws its strength from PureEmotion technology, the ingenious fusion of several amplification technologies – created by iFi.
The sound delivered combines purity and tonal accuracy, with speed and dynamics, for emotional, lively music.
The first technology – the preamplifier stage – features a Russian 6N3P tube (visible on the front of the large OLED display). This stage takes the analog audio signal delivered by the DAC (based on the ESS DAC Sabre 32bits) and adds gain and material, before being taken to the amplification stage.

Analog!
Many audio products use DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to deliver a full, airy sound from a loudspeaker. This digital artifice is always synonymous with data loss and deterioration of the final rendering.
The technologies – often proprietary – used in iFi and Aurora devices avoid these losses, as they act on the analog signal.

SoundSpace delivers a full, dense sound that perfectly fills the room with a remarkably layered and precise soundstage.

TrueBass focuses on the depth, density and definition of the lower end of the spectrum. From bass to timpani, from kick drums to computer-generated infras, all information is reproduced with power and precision.
A true work ofART!

No room is too big or too small for Aurora.
ART (Auto Room Tailoring) technology allows Aurora to calibrate itself according to its position in the room.

The effect is similar to the adjustments made by a sound engineer during a live performance.
Nothing exceptional you might say… Except thatART works in the analog domain! No loss, just volume, soundstage and sonic opulence!
Entirely developed by iFi, this acoustic correction system is activated at the touch of a button on the front panel. At this point, 6 sensors measure the Aurora/wall distance using ultrasound.
At this point, an ARM 32bit Cortex microprocessor adjusts the power output of the speakers to perfect their musical performance.
All adjustments are made in the analog domain only, without relying on DSP or feedback. The result is near-live realism, just like in concert.

Aided by ART, the Aurora will adapt to the way you use it.
Place it under your TV and connect it via Bluetooth or optical connection, and you’ve got a stylish, elegant sound bar. And what’s more, it streams your favorite music!
Connect several Auroras via Wi-Fi, and create a multi-room network for synchronized or individual playback!
Position the Aurora in the living room on your sideboard, and you’ll have the perfect compact, elegant all-in-one hi-fi system, a connected central hub for your musical desires!
Ultra-connected, the Aurora will allow you to play your entire music library stored at home on your computer network, play music via Bluetooth, connect optically, stream LastFM, Deezer, Spotify, Tidal, Quobuz and the thousands of Internet radio stations available!

Aurora supports all Bluetoothformats, past, present and future. It incorporates the Qualcomm 5100 chip, enabling Hi-Res decoding of aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, HWA (Sony and Huawei Bluetooth codecs), AAC (Apple) and the SBC standard.
What’s more, the ESS SABRE DAC chip ensures smooth, perfect D/A conversion.
Rediscover the power and simplicity of Bluetooth with 5.0, for uncompromising Hi-Res reproduction quality.

The Bluetooth implementation present on the Aurora is not the standard SOC (System on a Chip) implementation generally found on BT devices on the market.
A real synergy of top-quality elements extracts the best from each component: the Qualcomm chip receives the raw signal, which is converted by a specialized ESS Sabre chip, and Jitter is eliminated by our famous GMT femto precision clock.
In addition to Bluetooth, Aurora is also Airplay-capable, and has numerous cable connection options: optical, coax, USB and Ethernet for the digital side, 3.5mm jack for analog (you can also plug in your Amazon Alexa!). Aurora also features a micro SDHC card slot, for your music stored on card!
